| BWD XR Thing CF-W
More details coming soon. Chassis weight as pictured is 2.4 ounces. Sides and Cab machined from 1.5mm CF. Machined reversible delrin skid (short side up front if you run a rowdy racing or similar behind the motor battery/elec tray, long side up front if you run that stuff on the skid), turned 1/4" diameter delrin braces, stainless hardware. W in the name stands for the new 1.35" wide skid and chassis braces, as opposed to the original 1.2" wide. The "W" skid and braces will also be available with the standard XR Thing, as well as available seperately for those who want to make their Thing a bit wider. The original thing machined lowers and ti uppers are used on this setup as well. BW |

Nice! I was guessing the W stood for wide when I saw it how much is this going to be without links?

Curious as to what the idea is behind going wider on the skid? Or is it just that the OG Thing was too narrow for electronics pacakging?

Better suspension geometry, especially upper links. Looks great Don! It was good hanging with you again this past weekend , sorry things took so long that you didn't get to run 2.2 pro. Last edited by 4xFord; 06-27-2012 at 04:51 PM. | |

Nice work Don...I bet the CF gets rid of all the flex the delrin chassis has without extra braces It's also good to see that you added the width in there as well!
