| Haastnooit's Y-town Crawlers BJ4 I am a RCC member for quit a while, but never started a thread about one of my rigs. Most of the time on the board I spend reading the incredible builds to try and learn from the more experienced and pro drivers .... But to get some tips and pointers to improve your rig, people gots to know how it is setup .... So below a few pics of my truck and a laydown of the parts I used. I finished the BJ4 late februari this year, but still looking to improve my setup !! chassisparts Axial XR10 shocks Axial XR10 Gears Axial XR10 Front CVD’s Axial XR10 Rear axleshafts Axial XR10 Servoplate BWD “Blade” 5 point rear axle brace BWD Motor Sav’r (F&R) Chaotic Crawlers Ti straight steering tierod Chaotic Crawlers Ti links JeepinDoug Spingcups (F&R) Losi Gold springs (F&R) RowdyRacing topless axlemount (slightly modded) VP Axle top (F&R) VP Linkmount (F&R) VP Motorplate (F&R) VP Gearbox (F&R) VP XR10 Lockouts VP XR10 Chubs VP XR10 Knuckles VP Knuckle weights VP Servo armour Y-town Crawlers Beetle Juice v4 chassis wheels Got 2 sets of VP rims for my XR, both with a 350 hub in front and a 475 hub in the rear. VP SLW V1 1” Crawler Innovations DD foams 5.5 HB Rovers - white dot VP SLW V4 .7” Losi Pink foams Losi Bossclaws – red dot electronics I just realised, since I recently sold most of my other RC cars …. I now only have cars with a Tekin ESC in it … that’s not bad in my book …. I guess everybody likes the FXR. Tekin FXR Tekin 45T pro (2x) CC bec Punkdig Hitec HS7950TG Spektrum DX3E + SR300 And now for some pics: Total RTR weight during this ride was 2495 gram (5.5 lbs). For now I am looking in to change the stock XR shocks for some bigbores. Last edited by Haastnooit; 07-15-2012 at 08:12 AM. Reason: typo |

looks great. I'm still running the BJ4 chassis and i think that it can hang with any SA or switch, swap, sniper out there if set up right!

Thanks concrete I agree, performance wise I did not have to change a thing, the worst part of my total setup still is driver skills ... Usually I am always one or a couple steps behind the evolution of what I call "the TEMPTOP crawlers chassis". When I finally stepped up to buy the Fastback chassis for my AX10 it was no longer being made, luckely Juan came out with the FB2 and I was one of the first run of 25. Then I got me the XR, drove stock chassis for a year. And when everybody else already was into the CF, I went ahead and bought a delrin BJ4 ..... So this time I decided to stay in closer track, and be right in the middle of the total CF revolution in crawlin' |

So far I only did some minor testing (on incline board) to see how the shaved Rover would roll on sidehills. Results seemed to be OK, I guess the shedded weight has someting do with that. Next week I am going to give them a real testrun ... | |

Rig looks set up good. Looks killer all black great choice on rims, one thing you could do is drill multiple holes in the center to lighten them some.
