| How do u get these D@#% e-clips on?
Is it just me or are these e-clips you're supposed to put on to hold the gear in place in the very first step impossible to put on? Literally an hour trying to get the stupid thing on last night... can't seem to get a push on it cause its so flush to the gear itself... grrrrrr....... suggestions on making this easier? |

I usually just push them on with a flat head screw driver, or you can squeeze them on with needle nose pliers, never been an issue.

flat blade screw driver you line it up with tweezers or pliers then push the clip on in one smooth fast push with the screw driver |

You can get the e-clip installation tool made by Dynamite (I think) or do what most of us have figured out how. Start by laying the clip on the gear and aligning the slot on the shaft with the open end of the clip. Then push the clip on with a screwdriver until it snaps into position. Another method is to use a needle nose pliers and place one jaw over the shaft and the other on the clip, squeeze the pliers and the clip snaps on, if it isn't lined up with the slot then don't squeeze or you'll deform the clip. |

Be careful you don't let if fly away. The second clip I went to put on when building mine went bye-bye. I couldn't find it for nothing. So, I went to the hardware store with another one from the kit and actually found the same size and bought about 10 of them. Then, near the end of the kit, I found the extra hardware...spare e-clip in there...

I told you that if it isn't in the slot you squash it.

A longer fingernail....I've found in doing this hobby that a longer fingernail is a valuable commodity ....you tend to tear it up a bit...but building a kit, it comes in handy at times Not to mention the Martial arts factor....longer nails act like knives A little off subject....sorry |

| Re: How do u get these D@#% e-clips on? There is but it isn't lettered. At least mine wasn't. There was a free standing bag that had three smaller bags in it and one of them had an extra e-clip and some link bolts etc.

If it gets spread out you can squeeze it back into shape with pliers.

Small pair of flat nose pliers held sideways...with your finger on the e-clip so it can't fly off or in your eye ...remove it with a small flat screwdriver in the gap between the shaft and e-clip, don't try to shove it off from the back, it'll do a runner |
