|  Need advise on used xr10 purchase
I'm going to look at and probably buy a used xr10, need advise on what to check out and also if you think this is a good deal. He says it has novak M2 esc with front/rear digs, 2 novak 55t terra claw motors, xr4 4 channel radio 2.4GHz, aluminum machines wheels with panther tires with memory foam, and other upgrades. Says almost 1K invested selling for $375.     |

It doesn't look like 1000 in upgrades, it looks pretty stock to me.

I wouldn't pay more than $200 or maybe $250 for that thing. You can find some pretty good ARTR or RTR deals on RCC classifieds for around $500 or under. The servo looks good but other than that the truck looks pretty run of the mill.

I offered him 275 and if he doesn't want to take it I'm just going to build my own from scratch. edit.. That was quick offer declined. So it appears I'll be ordering the starter kit and my motors tomorrow  recommendations on middle of the road motors? not going to be a comp rig, just back yard crawling with friends, buddies got a night crawler and another friend with a wraith.I'm thinking holmes Torquemaster Sport 540s 45T? Are the sport motors good enough for horsing around? There is a big jump in price to go up to hand wound motors and don't know if I really need to.

Have you looked at team brood motors? I ordered a matched pair of intensity 45 turns.

Ok, I placed my Holmes Hobbies order this morning, I went a step up from the Sports and got a pair of the Torque Master Expert 540s Also ordered a CS170 servo and Robotronics sevo horn. Heres the rest of the list that I need to get still ESC: Holmes BRXL Dig: Punk Switch 3D I'm thinking of going the GT3 route and doing the hack / voltage reg (I'm an electronics tech so should be a walk in the park) And a 3 channel RX: Any suggestions?
