Its a good idea to use blue threadlock on all metal to metal connections that are not subject to heat.

Does that silver piece get pushed into the housing so the loop faces outward? Or is it supposed to cap over closing the loop over the bearing?

I assume pushed into the housing so the loop faces outward because on the axle housing there should be a complimentary slot/groove to close the loop around the bearing, correct?

Shouldn't this push all the way in flush? I'm just a little worried about forcing anything... Want to ask first

That bearing channel is made for VPs larger bearing. The silver thing just adapts it to work wit the stock bearing. It should push in and seat easily. Test fit it on the axle if you're unsure about it.

Its the stock bearing I'm using... I didn't buy VP bearings.... the bearing seems to sit in the stock axle housing perfectly .... this silver beariing channel doesn't seem to want to sink any further in the link mount... kinda stuck where its pictured.... but if that is the correct way to put it in maybe I just need to apply more pressure to force it in further?

This is why newbies buy RTRs ;)
