| Off the ClocK an XR10 Hall Style
This "build" thread is more of a documentation of how "Off the Clock" has progressed as my first crawler rig. I picked up the original kit around May of this year. The original intention for this was just something to tool around with and enjoy sometime with my dad and his Wraith. At the time I had no clue how different these two models were away from each other, but I thought it the XR10 would be a better choice. The Wraith seemed more like a half a step away from my HPI Savage 21, which I have had for years, instead of a brand new experience that the XR10 might bring. Being my first electric RC I had a boatload to learn and my experience shows in my wiring shot here. Here she is all finished up an ready for the jagged and rocky world outside, off the work bench. Anyways the capabilities of the XR10 out of the box were fairly astonishing. The rocks surrounding my home and in my neighbors yard were not match for her. I couldn't find anything tough enough to provide a real challenge for her climbing abilities. Little did I know that I had already been bit by the infected zombie that is RC Crawling. Little by little things changed. I searched for more clearance and changed the lower links so I could climb my neighbors stairs to her porch. I found this site no long after that, went to Axialfest to check out an event and see a crawling course. Within a month or so after that I met some guys from BYBRCC. It was all down hill from there I was set on a fast track course to where ever the hell I am now. After about 4 months of hanging out at the BYB compound (A BIG Thanks to Crawler13 and his wife!) I've got "Off the Clock." |

Unfortunately I cant find the pictures of my rig and set ups previous to this major change, needless to say they were minor at best, and simple for the most part. However, this time around I took pictures As I was working through this major overhaul. Parts List Hall Style Chassis cut from .090 Lexan and hand bent by the 2012 2.2p Champ John Hall

| Re: Off the ClocK an XR10 Hall Style Clear Chassis with my rod ends attached ready for mock up and get my uppers made. Originally I set up these shocks with internal limiters keeping them to a full extension at 3 3/4" for the front and 4" for the rear. After some testing and some advise from mates in BYB I changed them to 4" front and 4 1/4" rear. This put my ride height just over 3 1/2". After 5 months or so my wiring skills have improved and both FXR's(still cased) and the CCBEC on a Rowdy Racing motor mount. Thanks RR! what a great product. After a long day of fitting parts and making uppers this is the truck ready for the next day of testing. On Wed while board at work I drew up, colored, and laminated some body panels Final weigh in with my Thunder Power 1350mah |
