Default Hot Racing Transmission case

Has anyone tried these out? Have not heard a great deal about HR but this is a significant amount cheaper than the alternative.

I think I've seen a few people run them, but never heard any feedback on it.

I personally ditched my VP cases for the rc4wd delrin upgrade and Axial HD plates.

I use stock case with VP plate, not really sure you need anything more than this but to each his own.

I ran the HR cases for a while, didn't have any issues. I still have them laying around, somewhere.

Aren't the HR cases same bearing size as stock?

There was a picture on here not long ago, some ones he case exploded out the side.
Not sure who's or what caused it.
It's the only one I've seen.

The rc4wd plate is the lightest big bearing option.. And at $40 for the plate& case half, it's a damn good deal

I tried one on my latest build and didn't like the fit of it.

Ended up selling in classifieds and bought the RC4wd Delrin setup. Motor plate, upgraded bearings and delrin exterior parts all fit together nicely had so far has held up to some serious abuse.

Isn't it fun going light lol. You start figuring in grams vs strength vs usability vs time involved vs possible result.

See ya Sunday, we rearranged the entire area.
