| New xr10!!!
So I stumbled across a new XR10. A guy bought it Started to assemble then forgot about it. All it needs is a rx and battery. So what would you do with this gem? I want to build , and run it. But the lack of parts kinda bothers me. |

Theres still a lot of support out there, its just not jumping in google on first searches. Hot Racing still has gears so those are always good to replace and be safe. Theres a lot of chassis's out there that work well on the XR. Youve got 5th Dimension, Y-town, Dravtech, Barrys RC Carbon and RC Bros with chassis's that have proven themselves to work. You can still find small part support at Krazed Builds, RC Bros, Dlux, RCP and RPP. I would recommend read a lot of the XR section. It can help save you a lot of time and frustration when something gos wrong. The axles are still very capabale, they just need some attention to make them stay good for a while. |

The parts are deffinately getting harder to find but they are still out there if you look. The seller/buyer section on here has lots of stuff, you have to be quick to get them though. As Robbob said there is plenty of support still with chassis and links and such. I have a 5th Dimension Dominator and have ordered another chassis and links through my lhs. I am going to build another MOA crawler with the spare parts I have kicking around. Besides the chasis and links all I am going to have to buy are some Vp Wraith knuckles. It is a great rig once you work out the bugs and get it dialed in. I am still learning as rock crawling is new to me. Welcome to XR10 world. Be sure to check the sellers on here the support here is great even if is only to ask questions or opinions. Lookin forward to pics when its done.

You can catch stuff on here like everyone has said. I know VP has the upper link mounts in their clearance section last time I gave my money to them. There are a lot of options out there. The stock chassis has to go though. I am partial to 5D, if krazed builds would do am MOA I think that would be my choice. You can get links made from Dlux or creeper bob. There is still a good amount of support. Good luck and post your changes in a small build thread. Always nice to see the changes. |

| Re: New xr10!!! A couple of mods for you to look for to make this thing more durable. The 2 Screw mod, posted by Mark Reel Brass insert mod found in 4xFord's Build thread The big bearing mod for the motor plate. From the early days near release. Brass bushing mod, to replace the tiny top bearings in the transmissions. Good luck and do plenty of research. |
