Default has anyone noticed all the flex in the front diff ?

I've had my truck 3 weeks and still haven't run it . I was looking it over last night to see what all I was going to have to do to shim the front. Well when I would hold the left wheel and turn the right one I could see the center diff cup move out like an 1/8 of an inch . T hat can't be good for the diff to moving in the housing that much and I don't think shims will fix it .
Maybe that's why front diffs are going out too

That slack sounds about normal for most diffs.

why do you guys always have something bad to say when a new product comes out and you haven't even driven it yet. Drive the shit out of it then report back....or you just want your post count to be up?

I've been waiting on batteries from helios which I have now and 500k diff fluid which I thought I had . I ordered 6s and wanted to do the shims and diff fluid before bashing it

And Patrick I don't have to drive it to see that when the front diff is moving around in the carrier to know it isn't good

I haven't read of to many issues with the front diff. Actually I don't think I have read of anyone having front diff issues in this forum. The only thing I read were that some people have ha issues with the cups that the dog bones go into have snapped

I'm hoping that shimming will take care of it . My diff fluid should be here this week so I will find out

I've beat the snot out of mine every night after work for 2 weeks straight now, straight out the box. I keep meaning to put the shims in, but every evening I get home I figure I'll just go smash it around instead. I'll fix it when it's broke, but I'm beginning to think its indestructible. If I had the patience to wait 3 weeks, well, I'd have lost 3 weeks of fun. Kudos for the self control, I ain't got it.
