Default RR slipper - Heads Up

If you are going to install the RR slipper, the spacer that goes against the tranny needs to be cut down. The pocket is too deep and causes the spacer to bottom out on the plastic tranny case when tightened.

I thought about it but I did not want to remove material where the bearing sits. The rear spacer is stepped to match the oval part of the shaft. The problem is that it was bottoming out on the plastic before bottoming out on the step in the spacer.

I also noticed that shaft will move in and out about 1 or 2mm without anything attached by pulling/pushing on it with your fingers. I tried putting a spacer inside but it just caused the shaft to bind. Have you noticed any movement in the shaft itself?

Yes there is a thread all about this. The reason it doesn't fit is because its ment for a 10th scale yeti. You need to modify the tranny and bore the hole so the spacer sits against the bearing on the top shaft. Plenty of people including me have successfully made it work and haven't had any issues since boring it out.

I will see how this works out and if needed open the case. Note to self, winding the stock one down will cause the plastic rear shaft to twist like a candy cane...

I replaced it with an HR. The splines are literally twisted like a spiral preventing it from sliding. Stripped it down this morning and surprisingly everything is looking pretty good.
