Default Just installed a Xpert Rc servo and its not working now...

Well this is my first install of a larger servo with a BEC. I got everything soldered and wired up and back together. I tested it out on the bench and everything seemed to of worked great. So then I installed the linkage onto the servo horn and tested it out again. When turned all the way to the left, the rod end hits the servo. The servo kept making noise but was not turning anymore until I let go of the radio wheel. Other than it doing that everything worked well. So I put the tires on and then re installed the batteries and set it on the ground for a test run. Now the servo is making constant noise and when I try to turn the wheel the servo barely moves at all. I checked and made sure there was nothing binding or restraining the wheels (there wasn't).

So does this mean the servo stripped out?
Is this my fault? What did I do wrong?
Can I set the servo end points with the stock radio using Castle Link?

Standard WR-7701 Waterproof "Mega Torque" High Voltage Brushless Servo
Heres the servo I bought.

Maybe you stripped out the horn?

I run this servo and am very impressed at 7.4 using a CC10 BEC. My rod end hit the sevo case as well but backed off EPA around 10% and it's fine now. The buzzing or noise is a digital servo trying to center itself. I doubt you hurt the servo unless it is wired incorrectly at the BEC. This Servo is a JR servo in disquise. I ran JR's in all my Heli's and Planes with multiple crashes and never had one failure. One of the reasons i went with XPert. Is there a way you can post a small vid of it in action or not action?

Gotta ask the normal questions.
Q? Not sure if the RTR radio needs to do this but on my DX3 i have to re-bind the new servo with radio if i change servos. This is with the sub trim set back to Zero.

1. Installed the servo and then Servo horn as close to 90degrees as possible?

2. Adjusted your EPA's (If you can on the RTR Radio)?

3. Are you using a plastic or 25T aluminum horn?

That was my first thought. I pulled the horn off and it was fine. I had It installed as close to 90 degrees too cause I had the batts plugged in to center the servo up.

Can I post a video to here or would I have to upload it though Youtube?

And that's what a stripped servo sounds like.

Id personally send the video to xPert. There is no way from not driving it that it is stripped but something is going on with the electronics.

You mentioned it was a 7701 but it looks like a 6601. Nothing to do with the issue but Ive been looking for 7701 issues on goggle.

Thanks for pointing that out. I meant to buy the 7701. I guess I must have put the wrong one in the basket. Damn.
