The section of the lower roll cage that the main cage attaches to....it sucks. I've broken it twice. I'm going to ghetto mod it tomorrow. I'm thinking about drilling into the broken shock mount, putting in a threaded post then an RPM turnbuckle end onto it. I can put another threaded post into the other side (where the bar is for the upper cage) and bolt it all together. I'll post some picture if I can get it to work.

It's a crazy design. There's a lot of stress on the point from normal driving and rollovers. Also from opening up the upper cage to work inside.

I've stripped out the screws on those parts and just used 3 1cm wide cable ties on it now. Can't get the cage off without cutting them but the stress is lower across more bracing.

I didn't do any wrenching on the Yeti today. Spent the day with kids. Flew my son's Alias with him (I let him fly a little) and bashed the heck out of our little Latrax SSTs. Painted a E-Revo Militia body black and pink for my daughter.

Oh yeah, this is a Yeti XL "how to make it survive" thread. I made it survive by leaving it on the bench... hahaha, kidding.
