Short Video ---> Mamba Monster 2 and Castle 2200 motor. Turnigy nano tech 5800...running 4s Fast Eddy bearing throughout DHawk spacers GPM A-Arms and Steering linkage, servo arm, and motor mount Savox 1210 waterproof servo Castle 10amp BEC Very worth having the Castle Link adaptor so you can hook up the software without tearing into the receiver box because I've definitely had to make at least 5 adjustments already. Speaking of adjustments, I'm running at 90% punch reduction and a way subdued throttle curve because the thing would just flip on its lid. Now it's very controllable as you can see on the video. Not liking how low it is in front... Would like to raise it some I had as much fun as I've had in years building this kit. It's my first rc. The other one is my son's Chinese 1/12 deal and also actually pretty fast. Now for some paint.... Hmmmm. Last edited by 1windsor1; 08-29-2015 at 03:52 AM. |

Yeah, I loved it when the body wasn't on it. Gives it that cool rock crawler look...but probably not the best idea for longevity's sake. Will throw some white or gray paint on it I think. (BTW, I'm also a Ford Freak...) |

Good thing I ordered the DHawk driveshaft just in case...because when I was taking the stock one off to install it I found this: It was just a matter of time. Definitely a more stout piece: |

Just got home from a pretty intense bash. Had some horrendous crashes... But she just kept on ticking like nothing happened. I haven't given it a very thorough inspection yet, but haven't noticed anything broken. It seems the updates I've made are the primary ones to have...and 4S batteries of course. Only issue I had is on a few of the bad crashes the body would literally pull right through the weak traxxas body pins and fold them up like pretzels (I misplaced the ones from the kit). Looks like a "ghost truck". Are you in a war zone? That last pic looks like the set of "Generation Kill". I dig it! Good call on the drive shaft. Mine looked almost identical to yours and I did the same thing. The DHawk/GPM one is very nice. |

Live in Doha, Qatar. One of the richest countries in the world yet plenty of construction sites to bash on. Yes the driveshaft was a good pre-emotive order it turns out. I found that another MT4 wheel hex is rounding out. The nuts were very tight... Luckily I have some extra stock ones Axial sent me. |

One of the richest countries in the world.....People are too rich to pick up their trash.... But, I'm sure you took the time to correct that for the lazy SOB who left it there! If we don't take care of our play places, they will not be around very long! |

Spots like that always have trash...it's a cultural thing, they just throw trash everywhere. I'm thinking I'm going to go to 23 mm hexes and run HPI 5b wheels...I can see this wheel stripping is going to be a perpetual problem. |

Few upgrades this evening... Rear suspension link brackets, axle adapters, and shock braces. Only item left to install is the front cover thing they call a "front clip" Last edited by 1windsor1; 09-25-2015 at 06:30 AM. |

WOW. Great truck. Those axles sure will do the job.. One question, can you give me the measurements of the Axial XL body and cage? I am looking if it will fit a HPI Savage XL. Not a crawler but i love the Axial XL body.. |
