| New driveshaft bearing cover idea
Hi guys. Been doing some stuff to the XL, including a new idea for some rear driveshaft bearing protection. (Might work on the front, too, but I haven't figured that out yet.) I'm using a black nitrile rubber oil shaft seal: 15mm x 26mm x 7mm. I had to shave it down a bit to make it fit without too much friction. There's a metal ring in the rubber that you can grind down further depending on your need. These things are cheap : under 5$. I used electrical tape wrapped tightly to form a seal on the outside of the oil shaft seal, and covered it with a zip tie to keep it in place. Here's pics: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
