The specs are up on the Axial site now... Axial Racing - Yeti

I just spoke with axial and they said the shipment is supposed to arrive on august 15 and then they will distribute to smaller shops. They said their main hub is going to be tower hobbies so whoever has bought from tower will most likely revive theres soon after the 15th.

I'm kind of confused.... why do you already need part numbers when you haven't even received your Yeti, nor broken any parts..... yes, confused... and yes new to the RC world.

I don't get why guys from Canada would order from the US online when you can get them just as fast in your province for about $100 less
And they wonder why local hobby stores close down.

I live close enough to the border that I have everything shipped to a USA address, plus I pay using US currency via PayPal. In short, it saves lot of $$$. The local CBSA office know me very well, I see them almost weekly. I have also spent literally tens of thousands of dollars at my local hobby shop over the last decade.

$100 less than in the States ? I think you're a bit off with your pricing. Canadian pricing is $479

The States is cheaper, going for what ? $429 ? so no, Canada is *always* more expensive.

That said, once you figure in our dollar exchange, the shipping, and what Canada customs is going to nail you in duties, it may work out to about the same. Canadians also pay 14% taxes in some Provinces.

I do agree with you though, yup that's why the little guys go out of business.

Ge's probably taking into account the additional internationsl shipping fees and the duties you will pay.

I get my stuff as fast RPP for always less and never pay extra shipping charges.
In fact last time my Wraith was here before RPP was even shippin the 1st batch.
Shipping this rig form the states is not cheap these days and the local shop here only marks them up at the current exchange rate and even Paypal and most Credit card rates are a little higher
You still pay taxes when it hits customs and also get nailed with a brokerage fee and handling fee and then taxes on that service.
I been doing mailorder for over 30 years and know how to pick my battles.
Never on the big stuff.

Remember that $479 at greathobbies includes free shipping, that pretty much puts it at par with the $429 US prices. I preordered mine on Canada day and got 10% off, total shipped with taxes $463. I support my LHS as much as I can, when they have what I want, unfortunately that's only about 25% of what I spend on this hobby, but I always check with him first. Unfortunately with the Yeti he was told he couldn't get any of the initial batch and he tends to price his kits a bit high, so he will have to settle for my upgrades budget, which is prolly a lot more profitable for him anyhow.
