Default Yeti Rear Upper Link Contact With Shock?

With the Swaybar Disconnected on my Yeti the axle still can not hardly "flex out" due to the upper link getting bound up in the coilover. Even With the swaybar connected as the rear axle starts to flex the link is already contacting the spring. Is anybody else having these problems, and would an upper link kit such as the one from vanquish fix this?

Yes, the Vanquish uppers will help a lot. They still contact the springs a little, but not bad. The down side is they break very easily if you do any bashing.

Yes, a few people have reported it.

Not enough to make a definitive statement that they WILL break while bashing though.

Yeah. It happened during a bad cartwheel. Broke where it necks down at the threads.

VP links will help like others said but you don't have to use the bent links. Straight links are perfect and have no issues of being anywhere near the shocks at full extension or full compression.

^^ Straight up/down isn't a prob. It's during articulation. I had straight uppers on mine and they still would contact the springs a little.

Just looking at the pics above, doesn't seem like the straight links would even come close to making contact during articulation. Guess it depends, too, on the location of the mounting points on the axle.

Hmm, not sure why I don't have that problem at all. I have the shock in the farthest rear hole on the top mount and the trailing arm. I have my upper link on the bottom hole on the chassis side.

Looks like you have plenty of room for sure. Must have to do with your lowers and your lower shock mounting. Or maybe the axle end height of the uppers? My Centered VP axle with stock or STRC lowers and straight uppers hit the the springs, didn't matter what hole the shocks were mounted in. Are those UC Fab lowers?

They are VP Trailing Arms.
