Default paddle tires on yeti?

Hello, was just wondering what kind of paddle tires is everyone running on there yeti? I am running a 14 tooth pinion right now is that still OK with some 2.2 pro line paddles? Stock spur and HD gears in front and rear stock ratio.

I'm not sure how much this will matter to you, but I run mine with the stock kit tires (Falken Wildpeak MT tires) in the sand, and it performs pretty well. Probably not as well as it would with paddles, but it's still pretty fun for my son to drive. My gearing is all stock, kit version gearing.

Bone stock with 3.8 proline paddles have been a blast for the past 2 Sunday's at the beach. I'm running them on the rear only, I bought a full set but my son wanted them, so after a totally rational conversation with a 6 yo we came to the compromise of both of us run rears only.... Yes, there was a take it or leave it line in he sand, literally....

Scratch this, damn I thought I was in the XL yeti.... Sorry too much sun today I guess.

Oh, and the falken said and the crumby kit wheels don't do too bad like he stated above.

Buddy of mine runs 2.2 paddles with stampede wheels. Since the stampede has two different offsets it makes mounting to the yeti and keeping track width kind of close, easy.

I have the panther 2.2 paddles. Mounting them on vanquish wheels was a b****. And the tires really aren't tall enough for the yeti. At least my yetiquette doesn't have a ton of ground clearance. But does pretty good till it hits a decent mound and gets stuck and high centered. Wish I had a different motor/esc. I think with more powa it would do a whole lot better.

I installed these TowerHobbies.com | Pro-Line Sand Paw 2.8" All Terrain Tires Mounted (2) along with the ssd wide rear axle kit. Here is a short video of me running it at the silver lake sand dunes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKFijRZOOZE

The 2.8 version that is pretty close to stock tire height, wider by about 3/4" if I remember correctly. May order a set to see.

Since the 2WD electric Stampede is narrower in the front and wider in the rear, there are two different wheel offsets available. So you have to buy the front premounted wheels/tires for the Stampede and mount them on the rear of the Yeti. If you want paddles on the front of the Yeti, then you will have to buy the rears from a Stampede. Make sure its for the 2WD electric Stampede for both. It won't be exact, but should be close.

At least this is my best understanding from the research that I've done.

I was up at the Silver Lake dunes a couple of weeks ago, and the local RC shop had a RTR Yeti XL in the back (must have been a customer's) with 5th scale paddle tires in the rear and "mohawk" tires on the front off of a HPI Baha 5B. Not sure what wheels they were using, but the clerk did mention that they did a 17mm hex conversion on it.

Here is a pic. Sorry for the poor quality, I took it with my phone through a glass door.
