| Finally ordered a Yeti
Well, I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase a Yeti. I went with the RTR because I just have too many other projects right now. I'll have it Friday, can't wait to run it this weekend. Pics to follow...... |

It doesn't take much to strip gears on 3 cell especially if you speed rock crawling. Now it's time to upgrade to metal gears... Not sure about the RTR Yeti but my Yeti kit came with all metal gears for the trans and a few upgraded parts.Have fun with your purchase you will enjoy it... Option: If you op for the 2 speed trans like i did you can have best of both worlds, crawl and race.. That's awesome to know I was actually wondering about that earlier today. With that brushless motor it would prolly shred plastic gears. When are u suppose to get your yeti HDMM?

Mine is coming tomorrow. I'll probably only run this on 2s so I should be fine. If it's anything like the Exo I had 2s is just fine.....lol |

Taking them out of the box is the best part.

Finally unpacked it, pretty happy with how everything looks. One thing I noticed is how soft the rear suspension is. Guess they use 10wt oil in the rear shocks, seems like they should be running thicker oil in there otherwise it's going to bottoming out all the time. Anyone running differnt shock oils than the RTR comes with? Last edited by HDMM; 08-11-2015 at 06:44 PM. |

I've got kinda an odd question. Does your new Yeti stink? Mine smelled funky when I first opened the box. It was so bad that I had to take it out to the garage. I tracked it down to the bag the accessories were packed in. The car itself was fine, but man the bag smell was potent.
