thank you,

my order is up around $1600.00 and I want to make sure that even though I am buying on a budget and trying to go middle -of-the-road on a lot of things I would like to stay away from "junk" if possible.

I have been doing a lot of reading on other peoples builds and taking notes on what their choices have been.

Personal experience is always good for advise.

Wow, $1600 is quite a nice "budget". I'm currently building my kit and have installed that rack. I did have to shave a little from the center linkage in order to clear the drive shaft, but otherwise it fit perfectly and is very smooth.

The YET48G01 Aluminum Graphite Steering Bellcrank is on my wishlist also. I'm just waiting for my kit parts to wear out before upgrading.

$1600 middle of the road? Haha. Good one.

And now I see they (Hot Racing) also makes an adjustable steering bellcrank. That is definitely something that should have been designed into the Yeti in the first place. Hopefully the Yeti 2.0 (fingers crossed) will have all the little bugs worked out.

well up to 1850$, this may be getting a little out of control.

This is not only for the basics but some extras too like a variety of shock springs, oils, body paints, 2 turnigy batteries, MIP drive shaft, and a lot of GPM.

I am going big with the Pro 4 HD, RX 8 Gen 2, and Savox 0240MG

My estimated minimum just to get the Yeti running is about 1170$ the balance are the "extras".

My house just went under contract today so I should have some play money soon.

Personally I'd use some vanquish over gpm

I've got the Vanquish axle housing and lockouts on my list.

That savox servo you have spec'd out is for 1/5 scale no? Not entirely sure a 5th scale servo would fit in the Yeti.

No way a 5th scale would fit. A standard servo barley fits.

oh crap I didn't see that, time to pick a new servo. it needs to be waterproof because the Yeti will be seeing a lot of snow.

7954 is what I run. No matter what servo you run you'll get ice where the servo is to lock it up.

Again, I'd suggest vanquish front end parts rather than GPM. Better fitting.

Xpert wr 7701 is waterproof.

Like everyone said vanquish or at least hot racing over gpm/integy.

Hot racing and integy are at the same level, I believe GPM is only slightly better.

I based my aluminum choices in part based on this personal review; Any of you guys running any generic aluminum parts? ,

but also on what that part does, and what kind of forces it will be taking. Is it more show than go?? then I think that I will take my chances on a less expensive part. If it breaks then I can upgrade it and accept the financial loss but more importantly be able to report on it's short coming first hand.

I greatly value and utilize advice from others with first hand experience , BUT

Third hand 'Bob said that Tom said that he heard Rob say that he saw a picture of a broken brand x part' really does nothing to help anyone and in fact hurts by limiting the choices and allowing the 'peoples choice' brand to possibly and unnecessarily raise their prices.

Now with all of this being said I also believe that if there is an overwhelming consensus that 'part x' is in fact a bad choice then I will will steer clear of it.
