3.8 tires? Those wheels require a 17mm hex, as opposed to the standard 12mm hex the yeti utilizes.

You will probably want to compensate for the yeti wheel offset difference as well. I don't recall if you were planning on buying something like the SSD wide rear axle to square everything up.

I'm getting the Vanquish rear with their lockouts.

These wheels are a 1/2" offset, do you think that I will need more?

Not sure if 1/2" is enough or not, I don't know how wide the wheels are. But my point was that without a wide rear axle, the rear would be about an inch narrower than the front if you run the same wheels front and back on a yeti. The stock yeti makes up for that difference by using the different SLW hubs to adjust the wheels offset.

I guess you never made it clear if you wanted to run them on the rear only or if on all 4 corners.

all 4 and they certainly do not need to be in line. I did not realize the different wheels front vs back. Guess I won't be able to do a 4 wheel rotate to keeps the tread even....bummer

Not different sized wheels, different hub sizes.

I remember hearing of clearance issues with running wheels that big... But offset makes a difference as well.

I remember seeing a thread about it.

well is a 3.8 a bit to big? what is the standard paddle? a 2.2? it just looks so small and I would think the Yeti would get high centered in the soft snow. I could see a 2.2 in the sand but ???? soft snow???

the 3.8s would be the most appropriate diameter, its the offset that needs to be worried about, it is probably possible for you to run reasonalbly wide 17mm hex adapters that would make em work just fine, but i would still suggest going with the wide SSD axle so that your yeti would be set up ready for equal offsets front and rear.

Ok so if I am reading this right the stock Yeti wheels are 2 different offsets, front vs rear. and the VP axle is stock width. If I was to run other wheels that had an equal offset ,Front vs rear they wouldn't run in line with each other. BUT if I ran the SSD wide the stock wheels would not run in line but the aftermarket ones would?

Okay after some research it looks like the SSD is a simple swap of the two shafts and lockouts? right? At $39 this looks like another addition to the tool box for when I want to run paddles.

big heavy wheels and tyres with a lot of offset will eat bearings

Yes, do that or just buy the wide axle instead of the vanquish you had mentioned.
