Hi guys, anyone know where I can buy the skyrc pro4 for my yeti? looking for a 2500kv or 3000kv version - have had no luck online so far. The only place I found was on ebay/rcjuice and both are out of stock. Thanks!

Thanks but unfortunately the kv is too high for 550 sizes available.

The trackstar 550 motors appear to be built quite differently from the SPro motors.

You're correct. The 1/8 scale appears to be the same though.

Yeah I was looking at them but will the length fit? Also want the option of running 2s so not sure if 8th scale is the best. Might just go ahead and get a tekin prohd but really don't want to spend so much on a motor.

Just to back up what kingy said....here's another example of a 40mm diameter, 68mm length (4068/2650kv) motor installed in my Yeti with 0 modifications. It starts up so smooth I have no need for a sensor.

But I've read so many good reviews of the Toro motors I really want to try one.

2s? "Yea I just bought a new Z07 corvette but I had them swap in an ecotec 4 cylinder from a cobalt because I don't need to have any actual performance."

Haha, I was thinking 2s would be good option to have for when I'm in the mood for slower days crawling on the trail. 3s should fit the bill for bashing at the park. I may just have to get an 8th scale motor anyways it seems as I can't find a good (non tekin) 550 alternative in stock at the moment.

How about something like this 550 size 36mm x 65mm 3100kv?

Thanks for the suggestion guys - the price is great, but I'd like to stick with a sensored. I found a 1850kv sensored 550 toro - would this be good for 2-3s running for crawling type/light bashing? I don't need crazy speed so maybe this should be good enough if geared correctly in 2s/3s compared to 2500-3000kv?

I would go with the 2500 kv motor on 3s and gear it down if u realy want slow speed, this motor has plenty of torque, later on if u want some speed u can gear it up and run 4s so with 1 motor u can have all, Im running the 3000 kv stock gearing and it isnt very fast on 3s but I cant go 4s,only thing I can do is gear up or down, also keep in mind the Yeti in order to crawl needs front diff to be locked and its more fun as a rock bouncer.

I bet if you dont keep it pinned all day you could run 4S without issues.

A certain Tekin sponsored U4RC racer runs 4S on his P4HD 3500KV without any problems....

Thanks guys- i caved in and ended up getting the tekin hd 2500kv from tower for 125. Could have gotten the toro pro4 1850kv for 40 bucks, so hope the tekin is worth the difference in terms of the kv.
