Wow. I was just looking at replacement axles due to bent shafts. Do you have any estimate as to how much stronger these are than stock? Every tumble with my Yeti brings the axle pain, probably on account of the long hubs...

They're crazy stronger and will not bend as easily highly recommended for the price!

If stock shafts require grinding then these likely will too. I don't run beef tubes and don't know their tolerances, so I can't say for certain.

Be nice if you did away with the holes that's where they usually bend.

I've been designing a new rear axle in my head for months now trying to get away from that hole. If it wasn't for that hole even titanium would be a viable material. The end of the axle could be splined for a hex or slw type hubs but the size limitations of the current straight axle ends makes the minor size of the splines smaller than the axle so they'd be weak. The 5x10 bearings really limit the axles.

Are these available for curries? I have an issue with my axles where the hexes won't seat and I'm needing replacements. Vanquish CS hasn't replied to my email from two weeks ago...
Thanks.

Bought them. I am rebuilding pretty much my entire Yeti. These are going in. Also picked up some vanquish stickers. I hope this cures the bent axle issue.

Now if they could just design a better way of attaching the lock-outs. They get sloppy and loose pretty quickly.
I finally rotated mine 90* so the clamping bolt is on the top and tapped a screw into the rear of the axle. When the acceleration torque is applied it is pulling the lock-out forward, hopefully this will help.

Coming back to this thread, I installed the axles today. Mother of god, the stockers were horribly warped and twisted. Not only were they bent where the hubs attached, but they were bowed throughout their entire length. They had actually eaten through some of the plastic in the axles. Well, 2.2 swamper XLs coupled with a 2700kv 4065 motor running 3S at high speeds will do it.

These axles feel like pure quality in your hands. Hard to describe. I look forward to seeing how these hold up. By the looks of it, I will need new diff gears soon and will have to open everything back up.

As a further update, yup the ring and pinion are shot. 5 minutes after I get it all back together I need to take it all back apart. HD gears this time with fresh bearings.

SSD HD axles use a rectangular shaft where the hexes sit and no pin hole. Don't know why companies think that the pin hole will hold up with these tall tires and aluminum wheels.
