Thanks for the note. It's a brand new change here, and it took us a couple of months to find a suitable shaft material to handle the abuse and fit our tolerances.
We can get the shafts out to you for sure, send a PM to us here and we will fix you up!

Re: GCM Transfer Case

So just to confirm, this is a different shaft material suitable for the loss of material in the area of the thru hole?

Thanks for listening guys "thumbsup"

Thanks for the comments!
If you can break one with RC power, I'll send you a free replacement. Is that confidence enough? "thumbsup"

I just have a question on the gears. Are they 32 pitch? I'm glad you guys did the through hole shaft design, That's what I've been waiting for. "thumbsup"

Meatwad 01-23-2014 02:47 PM

Yes. And if your question is regarding durability, I'm running a locked spur with a Holmes 540 revolver S on 3s without a hiccup. Others run 4s through this tcase.

Re: GCM Transfer Case

I've managed to twist off a few steel driveshafts with this. And some of the original tcases are still in service in trucks we know!
Yeah, long lasting.

Got my new shafts in for my GCM tcases. These things look great and make it much easier to work on.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/30/ezavate7.jpg

Good stuff! If you have any hard time getting your pins into the 2 ended shaft, make sure it's centered in the housing. There is a little adjustment available on the gear setscrew.
Nice TJ build!

Yep, I ran both jeeps in the snow yesterday with the new shafts. When assembling make sure you test fit a driveshaft on each end of the shaft before installing the case into the vehicle. They worked great! And made it one less thing to worry about with the through pin instead of the set screw.

He means

Make strong outputs for an axial tranmission. by using the new stronger material.

Re: GCM Transfer Case

Ah, ok! Well, Rick at supershafty already killed that and there's other decent options available also, so not a GCM tendency.
