| Crawl-Spec Super Bully and Berg servo mounts
Servo mounts for both Standard and Hitec 7980 servos. The Super Bully mounts fit the 65:1 gearbox. *PLEASE NOTE* - The Super Bully mount will NOT work with the standard gearbox, only the 65:1. Standard Super Bully servo mount - $15 (includes shipping in the USA and hardware) Super Bully Hitec 7980 servo mount - $22 (includes shipping in the USA and hardware) *The 7980 mount may require slight shaving of the axle tube. I did not have to shave mine, but I have been told others have had to. Super Berg 7980 Mount - $22 (includes shipping in the USA and hardware) *You will need to drill and tap 3mm holes in the axles tube to mount the servo. Made from Black Delrin. This is the Super Bully Standard Servo Mount.... Last edited by SVEN; 07-20-2011 at 10:37 AM. |

Super Berg 7980 Mount: (shown on a 2.2, because I don't have a Super Berg) This is the Super Bully Hitec 7980 mount.... Last edited by SVEN; 07-20-2011 at 10:36 AM. |

Those look good Sven! What thickness delrin? Also, will they mount up on both sides of the gearbox?

1/4" No, the hole spacing is different. But I could definitely do that if that is something you are interested in. Unless you run a stick chassis, I don't know where you would put the lower link mount. Here are some pics to show what they would look like on the other side. The white mount is the 7980, black is the Standard....

Here are some ideas. First would require no modification of parts, but would also raise the servo highest. If you do not need the shock mount holes, cut them off and mount the servo lower. I made some delrin mounts without the shock holes and put them on to show you what it would look like. No, the delrin link mounts did not hold up, at least not more than 7 minutes.

Totally off topic from the discussion, but that weight system is quite interesting. Keeps the rotational mass out of the wheel Looks as though you just drilled out the center of the acetal disk to fit over the outer part of the knuckle and ran some set screws down through to bite onto the knuckle?? Errmmm, nevermind...found your threads showing the weight system...sweet. Last edited by Offroader5; 06-11-2010 at 03:35 PM. |

Getting closer on the dual setup. It is designed to use the exact same length tie-rods on both sides (2.25" eye to eye). I just need to get a Futaba servo synchronizer in so I can put the mounts to the test. Last edited by SVEN; 07-30-2010 at 08:23 PM. |
