Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and one of you with Solano co crawlers probably got my email, maybe. I live in Fairfield and I'm currently on my first slow scale build. Just want to know where some good spots are out here? I bash in vacaville every once in awhile with a few guys behind lowes, the old bb fields. But they meet up 1 a week and it's if I can make it. Btw my name is Jason. And if you'd like to see my build google "msv; scale crawler/ trail runner". It'll most likely be the first option. It'll be on trx forums. Thanks, Jason Last edited by Hvrc; 05-12-2010 at 08:45 PM. Reason: New info |

I dont have a scaler but you might want to check out browns valley up on the hill behind all the house's is open land. There is lost of outcroppings of rocks and a small dry creek bed that gose all the way up the hill. It is a small creek bed in some spots just big eough for your rig and gets bigger in other areas. Might be fun. Then there is the dam at Lake Berryessa. At the bottom of the dam there is the old Putah Creek. Its normally dry last time I was there a few monthe ago it had water might be empty now. other then that there is not much more I know of.

Sweet the mother-inlaw-to-be lives in that area and we visit her weekly. Might have to hike up the walking path behind the houses to see if there's an opening or trail to those rocks. I've been using the run off gutter system out there and close to scc to test my rigs capability. I don't drive ATM and I don't know about the ladies going out to putah or the dam. The lil ladies are into my rc. The "boss" isn't so thrilled. Anyone try cement hill road area? I know there's that weird looking junk on the hill @ claybank/cement hill. Accessable? Idk. |

Right on. Not too far I'll be trekking from aldercrest. Probably Sunday, if the rc gods see in my favor. Any of you ever try scandia? They have the lava rock in the front parking area and when they go to clean out the ponds on the golf course I'm rockin it. Last edited by Hvrc; 05-14-2010 at 10:41 AM. |

Ok well I'm going to be in Vacaville later on. If you live close to the gate, ridgecrest cir. And hear a goped but see a skateboard. That'll be me riding it. Turns out this spot is on the otherside of b.v. hope to see someone or signs that it's the spot. Edit; That place rocks! I'm going to have to buy a real crawler now! I don't think a mrc will get me through that place. My lil rig was suffering from it's low belly and kept getting hung up but over all if I stayed on my lines it went from the bottom of the street all the way past the gate and then some! That huge rock on the top was cool. I placed my truck on there and accidentally drove over the edge.... Needless to say it survived the 20-30ft drop. Nice find and thx! Let me know when some of you guys plan on going out there so I can see what a real crawler can do! Last edited by Hvrc; 05-16-2010 at 04:57 PM. |
