Did you guys do anything special to protect you radio gear? Both in the rig and the transmitter?

Reciever, ESC and LiPo all went into bithday party ballons purchased at the Raley's down the street before the comp. Some guys put the transmitter in a big zip-top bag or under a towel to protect it.

Oh ya, saw lots of duct tape too...

Thanks for the info guys! I guess I'll keep my eye on the weather report and adjust my setup as needed ... Too much rain and I'll skip the event anyway, but we'll see!

Something tells me though, that after these three rainy events, there will be some radio issues popping up in the next few months! You guys are hardcore!

I'm still afraid to put my shiny new DX3R down on the rocks, no way I'm getting it wet.

I'm thinking so too! But, do I paint it the original blue and white scheme? Or just go with JPH yellow?

Both would look good. Maybe yellow and white two tone?

Was also thinking about the Fall Guy scheme, dark brown and tan .... Heck, I've got to build the truck first! (That could take months! )

some motivation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwZTcGEU23A

only if you can get the Fall Guy decal made for the hood, if not, then you just have another brown and tan truck.

Man, that truck sure catches some air! I wonder how many trucks they went through during the filming of that series? Guess it doesn't go with the crawler theme all that well ...

I was thinking about the yellow, with surf boards, and a JPH lifeguard theme?

This would only work if you get a little mini Jake dude to drive in his yellow Speedo.

Please keep your fantasies out of this Peter!

Besides, I was thinking more like some Bay Watch style babes!

So, the weather's lookin' good for this weekend! I'll be prepping crawlers today and tomorrow! I noticed my MRC bent another rear shaft :-(
And I'd like to see if I can get that Stage 3 Racing dig/trani setup in my 2.2 ....

I've got the Oli Board done (for those who have seen the wire monster lurking in the back of the shop ...36+ feet of wire, switches, lights, LED's, a speaker, in a box about 12" x 9"!) so I'm clear to start my SCX-10 build soon! I sent the body off for paint work, gonna go with a two tone yellow and white themed Balzer body .... Ballistic Blake @ 707Paint is doing the work.

Gotta give some thought to that Berg sitting upstairs as well .... So much to do!

Has anyone been down Under the 101? How's it looking after the storms? Muddy or clean rocks and sidewalk?

Hope you guys get some crawling in now that the sun's back out! And, hope to see a lot of you at the comp this weekend!
