I've been hangin around on the week days & a few Fri pm's. Definitely goin to pull the trigger when I make up my mind. I've never raced & just want to hang on the week days w/ a couple of other folks. No desire to race.

Was thinkin either the TLR 22SCT 2.0 (w/ mid mtr conversion) or the new TLR 22T 2.0 Stadium Truck due in stk late March. A little hesitant on the ST - I might get beat up w/o the protection of the SCT body protecting the wheels but the new ST w/ all the latest updates is lingering in the back of my mind.

Big j- what kind of comp scale or comp rigs?

Norcal- s.t and sct are both really fun. Not many cons for me on both but i prefer to drive the s.t more. Probally cuz its more nimble..

I'm not sure. This is the first rc crawler I've owned. I've been involved with real comps for over 6 years. I started and ran a successful 4wd club for 10 years been apart of cal 4wd. So I'm not new to the crawling scene just the rc part

Only issue I have with pin is if your nut comes loose at all it falls out and becomes lost.. other thing Hex have the same issue, I started using a hpi drift style and the Integy. one that has a O-ring that holds the pin inside the hex. now plasic vs metal keep your rig under 15 pounds you shouldn't have a issue with hex or pin eating through the plastic if.. you have a 10 pound ish rig and the temp is around 100ish the ground or rock its on is much hotter and heat raises.. cooking electronics is most what people fear but the tiny plastic hex people forget about gets ate for lunch this includes plastic rims.. I try my best to stay away from plastic I hate repairing. Metal from motor to the beads only thing that is not metal is the rubber on the tires this allows me to abuse it no mater the weight or bind.

Now Axial slw hubs Never heard of anyone having a issue with these, they are a different plastic then the plastic in the 1.9 rims. but pin being lost just makes me shiver... so many comps so many times this became a issue..

Make sure if you go to buy them that they are the right size.

1/10 On-Road Hex Wheel Adaptor 4mm Offset O-Ring Type (Red) for R/C or RC - Team Integy

The bottom ones are what Vanquish made their own version of just a heads up

-- Side note.. 3d printer will be up and running tomorrow night, I need ideas for 1/10th scale motors It will be oil pan and up I may... make carbs and exhaust attachments but mainly was going to let the buyer do it, I need sizes and types I plan on a few test runs if any of you guys got any ideas want to toss out.

Again im holding true to what rob said previously. I put my rebuilt holmes servo on my ax10. Ran it in the front yard for 20min, then took it over to billie park and ran it there for 2 min. The same gear went out in it.
