I wouldnt even ask or tell them lol sense no 1:1 can wheel at nigh just walk over there with your beer and rig and start wheeling sense its right next to the upper camp anyways.. ive had my RC there at night crawling never had any problems.. most of the time brings other wheelers over to check it out..

Wasn't sure where we'd be camping at, if upper campground then we are good since it's right there. Anywhere else, I might break a sweat and start puking due to over exertion.

Yeah it all depends on where we are camping, right and how many people. That's the main thing, how many people will show up, we need an area for at least 20+ trucks/cars, campers, etc.

Or we just have a big camp-out, those that have 1:1 come out and we RC at certain times. We could go find spots also.

I have wheeled 1:1 and 1:10 at Hollister hills.
Scout it out first create Courses . Plan the event accordingly.
I have seen an rc event there not go so well. Not because of park officials, but the people running the event. A scale endurance will work better than a comp.
Be honest and respect the ohv officials and they will in return show you respect. They love the rc community.
Create a family event and you will succeed.

Well said bikeman. I personally have never entered a comp but have been crawling for fun for years. I would be totally down to make it my first, but would also have a great time if it was a friendly fun run with some sort of basic rules to see whose rigs and driving capabilities are dialed in.

Dates haven't seemed to have been mentioned yet, but hopefully can be planned out far enough in advance for people to really plan for this thing. (Couple months?) Even if it ends up raining that weekend it would seem like it could be a good time.

The events would be planned at least 2 months ahead after scouting and such. I plan on going maybe the end of the month when I have some time.
I'm off work on Nov 25-27th so I might go out on the 27th to Hollister to look over things.
If anyone that would like to join are more then welcome as I will bring one of my rc trucks to test out areas as well.

Damn, I have to work that day. Good old corporate greed is to blame.

Have fun gentlemen.
