Yeah, still tryin to settle on a tranny for the J2-TT with my Wheely King axles. So far everything either makes the driveline angle not so good or high cog...got my WK tranny w/clocked motor plate and locked out slipper (6mm output shafts) and my Stampede tranny (5mm outputs) all locked up. Something narrower that will bolt up T-Maxx drivelines is what I"m after...don't really want to buy an R2V2 (5mm outputs) http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=515 but I might. Glad that yer dig is worked out. Going outside to work on my 1:1 in a few, great weather. |

Dude, your overanalysing the whole 5 mm - 6 mm output shaft thing... 5 mm becomes 6 mm reall fast with the right drill bit. just slap a tranny in there and adjust your ride height accordingly for the drive line angle. Lower is more stable ... :-P. I'm determined to make this WK tranny work. Ond dude had this sweet clocking plate that he machined... he came up to Loon and met us a month ago. Fprgot his name. It was a yellow tuber. super sweet. | |

Yeah 9ish is when it starts. Yeah I'm good at that. Easy to drill out the plastic driveshaft or use the larger/smaller Maxx ends as needed for the tranny. Want my motor down next to the skidplate, not above the clocked WK tranny. Last edited by Natedog; 10-13-2007 at 09:19 PM. |

That was a lot of fun. Damn, the 6x6 is freakin inpossible to drive. neura you sure didnt take it easy driving my bruiser. thats how it is supposed to be driven though and now i need some bumpers and rock sliders. And would i be able to get all the brazing stuff at Home Deopt or Lowes or some place like that? Oh and i guess i rolled the bruiser a few times. these were the screws that hold the rear body mounts on. And anyone get some pics of my bruiser? i saw a few people with cameras. I drove around after everyone left, and there are rocks everywhere, but the spot we were at today was really good. I'm liking it way better than beals especially since you can park so close. Good day today and a great turn out. |
