| *IN TESTING* Menace Widemouth for the MRC
***NOW IN TESTING PHASE*** Menace Widemouth Competition Chassis for the MRC Some of you may have noticed in the Losi Mini-Rock Crawler section, Just Zacks "It keeps getting better" post ( LINK ). At first I was on the fence about producing a competition chassis for the MRC & new Mini class but because of the overwhelming requests to do a competition chassis for the MRC I was shoved right off that fence and started designing. With this new chassis beginning from scratch was the way to go. Mostly because the MRC does have it's very own little quirks, not to mention a whole new transmission to deal with. Even though the MRC is just a sized down cousin of the shaft driven 2.2 sized axles we all know & love, there are some sightly different issues to address with this new design. With the Menace's design, I also have incorporated ideas from the Chaos Widemouth in the new chassis as you can see. Still maintaining the adjustability of multiple shock & upper link mounting positions. I also have considerably narrowed the overall width from the stock MRC to help minimize hang-ups. The testing on the Menace is coming along great & we are hoping there will be a production chassis available soon. Here are some pics of my personal testing rig. -Matt Last edited by PinchFlat; 12-14-2008 at 10:26 PM. |

Thanks guys.. & dezzy... you will have to shank Christmas. That bitch is taking ALL my money & time right now. Hopefully after Christmas testing will be nearing an acceptable end & I can get going on production versions of the Menace. |

Looks good Pinch I like the motor over hang should help a bunch with the torque twist.

| Well with the testing we have been doing there are a few minor tweaks that are going to happen in the final production design. Uh... I guess these are more like "additions" than tweaks really. So now I'm at the point where I'm gathering funds for the first run of the Menace Widemouth. Those of you that don't know, it is a bit more pricy to "Set-up" a first run on a new design to be manufactured compared to doing runs after the fact. So be patient they will come. -PF |

Can you run the stock 3 link or do you have to four link it?
