I got to drive it outside today and I am very, very, very happy with it. I notice the narrower chassis and and the four link helps too with link geometry. Anywho, a couple of pictures outside.

We had a get together/comp for 1.9's yesterday night. All I can say is this thing is awesome! I won and the rig just plain performed.

I really noticed the narrower skid and I will be getting better shocks asap though. The Integy shocks suck bad!

The Panthers are hooking up too!

A couple of pictures of the courses. We've been having a blast just setting up courses in the garage.

You should use the lawn mower as an obstacle. Looks like fun..

They are from The Scale Shop but they were 1 set of 5.

I got some really cool goodies for my mini today. Steering rod, front straight links, and rear bent links from JSSuper. Here's the link

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145449

First off, I have gotten stuff from Cody before and its absolutely top notch. They are made from stainless steel and are incredibly precise and clean. They also come with 3mm grub screws so all you need is rod ends. The stainless also is so hard that it slides across the rocks like butter.

The steering link replaces the stock and gives a stiffer/stronger link that greatly increases clearance.

Then I had him make me some custom lower links because mine are not quite stock length. I had him make the rear links bent, and I prefer front straight but he can make bent links for the front too in stock or custom lengths.

I'll be converting all of my crawlers to them one by one.

Zach,

What is the uncompressed height of your Panthers? The reason I ask is because I'm making some for my MRC, as well, and they're looking to be about 4.5" tall!

Thanks,
Tommy

With the foams I am running the rears are 4", fronts are 3.9"

I cut them down and they are smaller than 1.9, probably 1.75". I just stretch them into the rims.

Ah! Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong. This is my first time cutting tires so maybe I just didn't cut out a large enough section. Thanks for the info!

I cut out 1 3/4 sections. The 1/4 that I left ended up being the rectangle lug.

What did you do for foams? I reduced a set of Panther just like how you did your and stretcned them over some Mayem's also. I thought cutting the foams in half would be good but when I mounted them the "bulge" in the side walls were very soft like they had no foams and the tire doesn't keep it's shape.

I run dual side by side stock Losi 1.9 foams in the front and narrowed 2.2 buggy foam in the rear. I like it so far.
