Yes, and how did you mod the front diif to accept MIPS?

Re: IFS kit for Wraith

MIP front drive shaft #'s

1 - MIP 10145 - SCX spline center CVD kit.

2x - MIP 10133 - slash 4x4 keyed front stub axle
this stub axle does not have a pass thru pin,
instead it has two flat sides for the matching hub to lock to.

i have had both types of front stub axles now.
with the pass thru pin & now the keyed stub axle !

the keyed front stub axle is a lot more durable "thumbsup"

this set up will run you around $70.00 or so
theres normally a bunch of used MIP ax/10 & SCX drive shafts in the for sale sechion,
used will work all-so - just change to the stub axle on one end !

locker
i took a old alum locker i had & drilled it out so you can run a 1/4 shaft thru it.
then drilled a 3 mm hole down into the locker & taped it for a set screw.
have a flat spot on the shaft for the set screw.
then i machined down the shaft ends for 6mm outputs & drilled out the ring gear to 6mm - not an easy task to do - the HD ring gear metal is super super hard.

& then - bingo a EXO locker.

most of U will have to turn down the output shafts down to 5mm (standard MIP drive hub size).
the ring gear hole is big enough for a 5mm shaft to pass thru & you won't have to drill out the ring gear.

Do those stub axles require any shimming?

And Im assuming you had to open up the back of the knuckle to fit the bell of the drive shaft, correct?

MIP slash 4x4 front stubs are the same length/size as the exo stub - just normal shiming is needed.

the only slight downfall when using MIP's is - there BIG.
mild Hub & C hub clearancing is required !!

as you can see here - things are real tight !
but with just a little tuning - it spins free with no binding "thumbsup"

Everything the DMG said is spot on. I have been beating mine hard for months with big power and no failures.

this is what i plan to do if time permits. i love the look of the DmG kit compared to stock - no comparison really.

to all those who have purchased the IFS kit, please be patient as initial sales are a bit heavier than anticipated. we never get more than a week behind but i'm pretty close to that right now. i'll be shipping a bunch (hopefully all) tomorrow and wednesday. most of you i contacted directly are not in a rush and i appreciate that.

i'm also working on a screw map for instruction.
