[quote=braceysdad;1068995]I added up just my paypal from Janurary 1st to Mid November of 2007 and spent a little over $14,000.00... That was just paypal and just crawler related stuff! I may have sold $1400.00 of that and maybe only $250.00 went in my pocket. Just enjoy the Buzz Bro..... |

| I use this one.
When your wife complains just ask her "would you rather I spent it on booze or drugs and that be my hobby?" Maybe that will put a cork in it. (this only apply's for those of you not doing booze or drugs as your hobby also!!!) Last edited by Illeagle; 02-25-2008 at 02:32 PM. Reason: additional info |

I can't even imagine how much I spend on my hobbies. RC alone, maybe 6-7k since I started crawling. Not to mention the drifters, drag & 5B. Where does it end? Does it ever?

Been RCing for allitle over 15 years, gas, electric, planes, helis, monster trucks, stadium trucks, touring cars, boats, submarines, and crawlers. no clue on amount of allowance and salary that has gone into RC or crawlers. that being said id say BD (even before i saw his post) has to be one of the top spent on crawlers, Jeff has bought a TON of rigs and im sure i only find out about half of them.... |

BD you take the cake bro, now I feel much better about my "addiction". We need to start a support group using the 12-step program. "Hello my name is Erik and I just ordered a cobalt pusher from HH to get "high" today). I just hope I never get into the 5B's, that will be the end of me and my marrage.!!! |

Yes a 5B will destroy you, I just got one and they are money pits! They're cool but then you have to get big bore kits and stroker cranks and then its so fast that you break stuff and have to replace it with shiny aluminum and they eat $30 clutches and $40 tires all the time plus they stink up the house! Not to mention the $1,000 initial purchase. Just stay away from them man!

5b is what led to the demise of all of my nitro. Just made a set of ski's for it and was playing in the snow yesterday |

Good God, what a heavy and expensive question. Since I started in R/C in 1983, my guess is I have bought and sold upwards of $10k easy. Nice thing though is I by used about 90% of the time, so I have probably only put out $2k total over all the years. Not sure how happy that makes me thinking about it all, but hey, I got me a new Bruiser in awesome shape thats nearly complete. Something I have been after for years. Thats all that matters.

I think total spent about 2,000 total on rc's. Half i spent, half my dad bought for me. So ive only spent like 1000. Thats like the total of the stuff i have now, i have sold some stuff so that cancels a little bit out.
