| Another Elite XC Nightmare....
So, Ken Shamrock the has-been, is fighting Kimbo Slice the never was on CBS in less than an hour. I can't call the fight honestly, cause Shamrock hasn't won in forever and Kimbo is over-hyped. My bet is we see another terrible stoppage, and the public thinks even worse of MMA as a sport. PATHETIC. As much as I hate to say it Kimbo will win, he is there marketing tool. Shamrock probably will take a dive.....aw who am I kidding, he couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper sack.

| Yeah, I was reading earlier today where Elite's future depended on Kimbo winning(like it's gonna happen any other way). So I figure it's all a hyped-up show also. Maybe the chicks will put up a good scrap???

They will put on a good SHOOOW for CBS. It's only make believe anyway, making dollars while they can. Easy Kami don't let you're blood boil |

I hope the replacement kicks Kimbos ass. The Elite XC is the biggest joke in MMA, they are hurting the sport more than anybody has. They might as well be WWE.

CBS' Elite is just plain crap. It is exactly what other MMA organizations have tried to keep away from.............the "pro-wrestling" drama BS. That weigh-in scene was straight out of the wrestling play book. Soon, they will start having "death cage" and "ladder" matches. The whole thing falls just behind the whole UFC "reality show" as the worst thing to happen to televised MMA. |

I agree with you about everything but the UF TV show. Yeah they show alot of drama, but Dana White never puts up with it. I think it sets a great example of how a true mma fighter should act.

I think Dana is EXTREMELY smart! He knows damn well that if you put that many "highly confident" males into the same house (Real World, Big Brother, etc), drama and shenanigans will occur, and many viewers will tune in to see it. He steps up and plays boss when things go too far, but if he honestly didn't want any of it to happen, the show would never be staged as it is. Keep the concept of teams and training by a veteran pro, but separate the guys in their off time. He stands up as a true, honest MMA promoter, and is for the most part................but the Real World type show is kinda lame. I will confess though, I Tivo them all. Then when I sit down and want to watch a fight, I FF through all the other stuff, and just watch the fight. | |

I'd rather just go outside the bar when someone yells "fight". drunk people are entertaining, even more entertaining when your drunk yourself.

| WTF!!! Kimbo got his ass beat....... period. OVERRATED......The jaw is not where you want to get hit. He got to fight a good ufc fighter, he got his ass kicked. That just proves the fact that the UFC is the top of the food chain, even there cast offs can win in the Elite XC. Kimbo got what was coming to him. Good stoppage. |
