| You want me to read and comprehend? That'll cost you extra. The initial post was vague, but from my 2nd post... Or the first drawing could be the top view with the wide base on the bottom, narrow on top and the 2nd is same perspective with the object inverted. There was enough information for me to answer "both". If the hidden line circle in the center of the right view was any type of "hole" or counterbore, you would see it denoted by more hidden lines in the view on the left. Because there are no hidden lines to speak of on the left view, then there are no holes and the hidden line could only be one thing...the smaller end of the taper shown beyond. |

German equipment drawings are the only ones I have ever seen using 1st angle projections (#2). They made no sense to me until I figured out the difference in drawing standards. I'm still working on figuring out all the German text on them.
