Default Bad Taste

I think that it is kind of in bad taste to be fishing in this sort of disaster.

You also have to wonder why you keep reposting these same words over and over. You seem to know everything, tell me, how many times has New Orleans flooded in your lifetime? Did the people know they were living in an area that could flood? Sure, but they had never seen major flooding so why stress over it, right? You live in California. Have you ever experienced an earthquake? Any idea how many people have died in earthquakes in the state of CA? I'm sure you've heard Seismologist predictions of what could potentially happen in California should a 'Big One' hit. And you still live there? Tennessee gets ripped apart by tornadoes in the spring and fall every year. Natural disasters happen, there's nothing we can do about that. The Gulf coast was the target of mother natures wrath this time, next time she may come after you. Give to those in need and SHUT THE **** UP!

no i should rephrase my statment... why didnt the people listen if they knew a BIG huricane was comming ONE THAT WAS THE BIGGEST EVER RECORDED IN THE HISTORY OF THE US knowing that they lived in an area below sea level surrounded on 3 sides by water.... If i knew that there was a HUGE earth quake to come more than a week in advanced we would live out side in a tent in a big area with nothing around... ya so we get shook hard but we heed the warning and our situation. Also you really truely CANNOT perdict an earth quake as far in advanced as a huricane... And yes i have expirenced a big earth quake... the 94 northridge earth quake, i was 50 miles away from the epicenter. One the crazy shaking started my and my mom ran outside AS FAST AS WE COULD because we knew WHAT could have happend.... just like the people of new orleans should have thought... UHHH duhh what could happen to our city thats surrounded on three sides by water and below sea level with the biggest recorded huricane in the USA heading straight for us DUHHHHH... GET THE **** OUT OF THERE its called common fu(king sence.

and im not paying a single dime to the Huricane reliefe fund bull****.

LOL and orginally posted by the first person of this thread...

let's see....

one reason to live in Nawlins: they were born there, it's their HOME.
another reason: Nawlins is a kick-azz city when it's dry.
oh yeah, one more: MARDI GRAS
how about: they've got no jobs and no money, so how are they gonna move, even if they wanted to?
or: they don't have cars, and anyway the freeways are jammed up. as you so eloquently pointed out, the city is surrounded by water and that means there's only ONE ROAD OUT.

have a little fawkin compassion. those poor bastards lost everything they had, and for the last 2 weeks they've been "living" in a football field full of corpses and turds. and you want to them because they didn't get out in time?

if you think this hurricane doesn't affect you, or that it doesn't matter, you're full of it. this is a huge disaster, and all you can say is, eff y'all, i'm dry over here.

remember, God has an awesome sense of humor.

bet you wouldn't be such a smart-azz if it was your grandmother in that nursing home where 32 old people drowned in their wheelchairs. have you got a sassy comeback for them?

act like you've got a pair and give what you can to help these people out.

Who's 'owned' dip****?

I'm sure your generosity will be remembered and rewarded. Save your dimes for bubble gum and trading cards.

Imagine not having transportation, or the resources to evacuate. Some 134,000 people that didn't have their Mommy to take care of them or drive them to safety. Do you have the resources to move that many people overnight? Neither did the city of New Orleans. How about the 30+ disabled elderly people that were abandoned by the nursing home staff and left to drown. Is that their fault because they lived in a "city thats surrounded on three sides by water and below sea level" and chose not to evacuate?

Should have, would have..... it doesn't matter now. That's what I want you to try and understand. Who are we to criticize and judge? There's an old saying, "Til you've walked a mile in my shoes". You don't know or understand the personal situation of those people. Couldn't leave or wouldn't leave, who cares now, the damage is done. There are members of this bulletin board effected by this tragedy. Will doesn't know when or if he's going to be able to return to his home. I'm sure he would rather not see any more of your critisism, I know I've heard enough.

Rule #1 of OWNED posting:

Rule #1:

1. A poster CANNOT post a half-thought, smart-*** remark and incude an "OWNED", "pwned", "Own3d", "Karl Malowned", "Sylvester Stallowned", "Al Capowned", "OWNED!!!!11" (or any form or combination thereof) type pic in his/her own post. Whether or not a person got "OWNED" is up to forum members.

There's also a Rule #2:

Rule #2:

2. When in doubt whether or not you "OWNED" a person, refer to Rule #1.
