| Need your opinion on some bikes.....
I lost most of my bikes back home so I am now back in the bike market. I have been looking at these: Seven Cycles - Titanium Single Speed Verve Santa Cruz Chameleon Single Speed SpeedWorks DNA Titanium Frame BIANCHI PUSS Single Speed Frame Iron Horse Titanium Rogue Frame Soul Cycles Hooligan Frame I ride alot of XC and I am gonna go the disk brake route. My last bike was a Cannondale F500 with Magura Hydraulic rim brakes, XT running gear, XTR wheels, Team Easton Gold EA70, and lots of time and money but now it is gone.... What would yall suggest? |

Out of those choices I like the seven. Man those are really nice bikes. My single is just a monocog. |

Deeeam! I'll stick to my BMX bikes, them things are way too rich for my blood. The frame's alone cost more than my entire complete (mosh, made by Giant bikes)

I'd pick a material, steel, aluminum, or Ti. Then I'd also decide between slotted rear dropout, or the adjustable bottom bracket. That'll narrow it down some more. |

personally i would go with cruz. Not to hijack or anything but being that the discussion is bikes. I was at a garage sell a few weeks ago and came across an old schwinn predator complete with a set of skyway tuff II's!! i got it just for the heck of it and only paid 7.00 bucks...lol. great trasher/ dirt jumper. Anyways good luck on finding a good bike!! And hope you get your life settled asap.

Will, mine are made in black, I do beleive that they were made in red, white, and yellow, and black of course. I looked around on ebay and those wheels alone nib are selling for a couple hundred bucks!! insane!! although this bike seems like it wasnt ridden very much due to it having the orig. shwinn tires on it with decent tread!!

Couldn't find much info on the speedworks. The santa cruz is more of a urban/dirt jump trying to be a XC bike. That leaves the Bianchi and soul cycles. Out of those 2 I would ride the pink puss. I prefer horizontal dropouts. Also pink bikes hardly ever get stolen. |

I would rule out the santa cruz and the Iron horse for the brake bosses. The extra cable guides and the brake bosses take away from the clean look that a single speed should have. And for a single speed I would prefer steel, find the right frame builder and it can be made very light and it will have a smooth ride. I still need to build a single speed my self, everyone else at the shop has one :p Maybe over the winter I will piece one together. |

I always wanted a Spot and an Orange as well. Maybe my friend from England will bring me one when he comes out to Interbike. This year I am going to pick up a couple from the show. Cash talks and you can usually get about 50% off. |

Think I'd go w/ the Chameleon for a HT, whether for urban/dj or XC...very versatile rig. Set it up for your type of riding & you'd be golden. After I'm done paying for my current freeride bike & building up an old Schwinn HT for a commuter, I'd love to pick up a Chameleon. |

Alright guys I have narrowed it down to just the single speeds: Santa Cruz Chameleon Single Speed BIANCHI PUSS Single Speed Frame Soul Cycles Hooligan Frame I decided that if I want a ti frame that after I have settled I will get one custom made by my favorite ss ti frame builder.... This is where yall vote: 1, 2, or 3 They go in the order that I just listed them... |
