Clodking: preach it, brotha! I see so many blinged-out nitro POS'es here at the LHS and the first words out of the owner's mouth is "can you tune it for me?" and "electrics suck cuz you have to charge batteries". Why the f*** is charging batteries a problem, do you have a hand-crank charger or something?

I had a nice Novarossi .12 in a Mini once...

Had a CEN centax style 2-speed on it. The Nova had the power so I geared it to the moon. Hauled ***.

I'm guessing it was doing about 60 when I hit a crack in the asphalt.

I'd broken the front bumper on a previous run, was running without the front bumper.

The leading edge of the chassis caught a lip in the asphalt crack and things got pretty nasty.

The chassis had a "Z" bend in it, the engine case broke in half, the fuel tank shattered...I had about $30 in parts left when it was all said and done.

Fun little car while it lasted.

here is what i got from xray.

Dear Sir

Thank you for your email and interest for XRAY products. We do not know what
you mean with your question. The car for which you have provided the link is
something completely different, it is a large scale, not 1/18. XRAY has
introduced the worlds first 1/18 Nitro Micro Car 4WD.

If I can help you in any other way just let us know. We will be more than
happy to assist you or help you out.

Kindest regards

XRAY MODEL RACING CARS

OK guys... Xray is right by saying they are introducing the first nitro micro. That is, in todays standards. 1/18 is considered micro. Just look at what HPI did...
They released the 1/12 scale nitro TC and called it micro when really it wasn't. 1/12 isn't that much smaller than 1/10 and that is pretty significant when then compared to 1/18.(PICS= 1/10 TC4 : 1/12 Yokomo MR4-TC Mini : 1/18 Xray M18.)
HPI pretty much started off the new micro with the "Micro RS4" which was 1/18 scale. And everyone else started to take off from there.
I don't think really anybody has considered 1/12 scale micro, it's just smaller than 1/10. And just because HPI's was named "Micro", it doesn't hold true now.

Once and for all time. It was the mini. Not the micro. The RS4 mini was 1/12, the Micro RS4 was 1/18th.

I didn't mean for this to become a forum for 1/18th stuff. I was simply posting that a serious company had done something cool to a rather uninteresting segment of the hobby.
