I believe McLaren lose sponsored free Merc works engines next year and will be buying customer engines from then on.
Looks like that might mean nothing according to this. Ecclestone expects Todt to scrap 2014 engines.

I do not like the brat, but do concede he can drive very well, so this might be a good growing lesson for him leaving McLaren. Not to mention the pay and commercial rights control he gets.

Granted I undersand it's always been about the sound, but it's also sad that because something doesn't sound like what they want, they scrap the thing.

He's always had a good ride under his butt...let's see what he can do with an inferior chassis....

I think they will retain Massa for one more year due to a couple of factors.

One, being his improved performance since Monaco.

And Two, Ferrari want Vettle for 2014 when his contract with pink cow is up.

IMO
The rumors of Vettel moving is just that rumors, Vettel is happy at RB and look to see him there for 2013-2014 and beyond.

But then again, stranger moves have been made in the sport.

Perez was a big possibility ...SCORE McClaren....Ferrari need to make sure Alonso has plenty of diapers. If they had Vettel, they'd need to buy stock in Pampers

That's how it is when you're winning. You hope and expect to win them all, and if you don't, you find faults.

Luca di Montezemolo, president of Ferrari, thinks hes is to inexperienced as of now. He does say Vettle would be his choice, and when you get right down to it, every driver wants to drive the red cars.

I think that's a cop out on Luca's part....had they pulled the trigger on Masa and let him go...Perez would be in that red car. Italians hate to loose face...

He also fully expects everyone to move over for him, and when they don't, he whines like a turbine. You'd think he'd have learned by now...I'm just not a fan
