What? Nothing happens unless you click play on each of those embedded videos... So what you're saying is that you never go to YouTube... those are embedded within YouTube.

youtube is not a forum.

If something as silly as having to open a new link pisses you off so much I suggest you go outside more.

If I'm on RCC, I don't want to leave RCC to view something that is teased to be on RCC. If someone is going to use a forum, use it correctly. Pretty simple task really... right?

Some forums work the embedding different, like Scale4x4 all you have to do is paste the link to the page for the video.
I'm clicking on the embed video box on the youtube page and it says that it copied. Then I drop it in text box and I get the garbage you see here:

http://www.youtube.com/v/j8PXo0MrZwY...http://www.youtube.com/v/j8PXo0MrZwY&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">

Try actually copying it yourself rather than letting YouTube tell you that it's been copied. I always copy it myself. I hit "command + C" to copy... might be different on a PC, "control+C" right?

Yeah I know windows movie maker takes away from some quality but so does google and you tube. The other reason I quit using a video host service got tired of them getting pulled down cause of the music I used. Almost every video I uploaded to google video has been taken down cause of the music.

I think you're getting confused with what lessens the quality of video. It's not always the cause of the host. It comes down to compression and the format that you finish it up in(aka the editing/compression program is what kills the quality). WMV isn't the best as it's part of a free program used on every PC sold. Most higher quality videos will be formatted in Quicktime. Plus, if you finish your project in a smaller size, like less than 640x480, it'll look crappier the larger the screen. I try to keep mine closer to the 720x540 size. Then when embedding I'll try to use the 640x480 size to help make the video seem a bit more crisp..... one of these days I'll get an HD camera and be able to push it larger without loosing much.

Google is crap for hosting video. YouTube is like the Wal-Mart for online video hosting. It seemed like they lived off of poor quality videos just to boost hits. Vimeo is more for the artsy fartsy user. Lots of HD videos, shorts and animation based projects.

For the music... don't use any main stream music that has been heard 100 million times on the radio. Keeps the risk much lower, plus you can find music that fits the video that you are making. I for one don't care much for the main stream audio choices or audio with vocals too often. Every once in a while I'll use music with vocals but not too often.

They will not pull it. They are not like YouTube. I've never had an issue with any of the music I've used on Vimeo. I've had several videos on YouTube have the audio pulled due to music choices, but on Vimeo they stay.
