I leave mine wide open. If someone needs to use it go ahead.

At my old house I had a neighbor that could not afford a high speed Internet connection so I gave them a USB wireless adapter and let them use my connection.

It is possible to secure your network while still allowing access to certain individuals. You will just need to give these individuals the security key that you assign.

Yes, you would give them your wep passwd/code you set on the wireless router. You can also limit the access by mac address if your router supports it.

Well the other computer is actually a gift for my girl and well shes not getting jack till christmas so ima have to wait till then to set up that computer....

And thanks guys that was gona be my next question about the WEP security and I read I just need to assign a new password for the different connections I allow..

So the comp connecting to the network will just need a network name and password...

And I just change the different settings for the different connections..

Thanks Again
Mike

No, You will set up one WEP password/code on the wireless router and use that same password/code on each wireless PC that needs to connect to it.
