Got the stitches out yesterday.
Now back from the physical therapy today. They were trying to pinpoint where there is and isn't feeling. The pad feeling is now the top of the finger. The base of the finger is now in the palm. The inside of the finger against the middle finger. I can't pin point I just feel something. Hopfully everything will get well enough to function by April.

Update:
It's been 5 weeks since the surgery. Finally got cleared to take the splint off to shower. One more week of the splint then it comes off. The feeling is wierd on the one side still. Doc said that can take as much as 4 years to get back. It moves 7* right now using my muscle.

I finally got the splint off. I'm in a finger wrap right now. Limitted to 5# untill further notice. More than likely it will be tuesday then go up to 20#. There will be another month of physical therapy.
I'm happy to have that splint off though. There is no strength in my hand at all.

Man, I hope you've got a good insurance plan.

I'm gonna go buy a pair of Mechanix gloves. You too, Cole. Once is enough.

On the therapy, push it a little harder than you have to and you'll heal up quicker. Don't go crazy, but maybe do 11 or 12 reps instead of 10.

Thanks guys
Think how good I'll drive with out that thing on.

I had zero insurance at the time. There was a 3 month period when I didn't have it. I cut it right in that time frame. It has cost me so far $9,892.
Hopefully I can aford some gloves soon.

Well I have as much movement as I'll ever get out of it. Unless I go back for another surgery. Which I'm not going to do. I've got all of the strength back in that finger just limitted mobilaty. The scar didn't show up very well. It's raised up and really white. I'm happy with it my doc wants me to come back and do the second surgery though. Here are some pics.

Well I am bringing this thread back! After reading about the dremel in the eye thread. It's another be carefull and wear gloves.

It's almost been 2 years now. The fingure still has limited movement and doesn't look like the other fingures. The half inch square where the og cut was still doesn't have feeling. The rest of the fingure is all good on the feeling though.

Sort of like a partial Stranger thing? Ya know, sitting on your hand for 20 minutes to make it go numb, and proceeding to...

Yep I don't have any manual disk brakes. I also had to move the lever around. The fingure doesn't travel as far, so I had to adjust the lever position. Everyone els says it feels wierd when they ride it. I have to agree 100% but it's that or two fingures in there.
