I thought it was a new solution to the drop hitch for teh getto tall trucks.

You can see the double axle assembly near the front. It disconnects and that roll it down and under the trailer where it sits. Once hooked up that drive it away,,,

That totaly makes sense, I just didn't think about the axles being in the wrong place.

There's a show at the Pavilions every Saturday. I've been quite a few times but it's pretty much the same crowd week after week.

That's the one. Stop by when Barret Jackson or any of the other car auctions are going on, that's when the really cool stuff comes out.

And if you get lucky, you'll catch the guy with the jet powered vehicles there. Sometimes if there is room he'll light one off.

This is correct. There are two arms at the back of the trailer to raise the trailer so the wheels can slide to the front. Then they lower the frame all the way to the ground. The hitch is weird. It looks just like a fifth wheel hitch but instead of the ball in the bed there is a pintle hitch on the front. I'll post up the rest of the pictures I took.
