More good news! We were kinda concerned about closing by the end of June to qualify for the first time home buyer tax credit. As of yesterday, the deadline has been extended to the end of September. so we're definitely going to get our $8k tax credit!! i guess Harry Reid did one thing right for the state of NV, lol!

yea the tax credit.

we got hosed on that deal big time. even though it was our first house, and it was purchased well within the deadline dates...

there is a fine line in the small print that excludes the sale from family member to family member. i guess the shitbags were hitting up mom and pops to turn the house over to them on paper to collect the spare cash.

no investigations, no hearings, no chance to have your case heard.
sucks, cause we actually did buy the house too.

Yep, my dad got hit with that too. Bought my grandma's house after she passed away. No $8k for him.
