So I went out to dinner tonight...

My wife asked me where I wanted to go to dinner for Father's Day tonight. Me being a simple guy, I asked to go to "King Kong's", a Greek food joint that is known for their 1.5 pound triple Kong burger. Anyway, we were waiting to order when a guy walked right past us and "cut" in line to order first. Not wanting to start any trouble while out with my wife and son I let it go.

After this guy was done ordering I walked up and began to order. Off to my right I heard the woman that was with the guy that cut me say "You cut right in front of that guy and his family."


The killer part of this story was his response to her comment...


"Fawk him, he's white."


Then they began to argue in a foreign language. My wife and son were about 12 feet behind me and did not hear what was said but I am still a bit stunned. I have NEVER said or done anything that racist in my life but this is about the 100th time I have had my being white used as a reason to have some type of racial comment or action thrown at me. Problem is, if you say anything in return, the cops will be called and it will be turned around somehow that I was the one being the racist.


Humanity let me down once again tonight...

Haha I remember that place on the way to the Midwest indoor challenge. I ate the 1.5 lb burger, then had to literally haul ass to the holiday inn and get rid of it.

I have no problem with anyone, white, black, asian, hispanic, etc. I just do not see why people feel the need to treat someone differently due to something they have no control over like skin color.

My typical response for stuff like this is to say "WELL EXCUSE ME...DON'T LET ME GET IN YOUR WAY ASSHOLE" loud enough for everybody in the area to hear it. People are usually quick to appologize and back off if you call them on their bullshit.

My wife, who has to be the most non racist person I know had a similar incident happen to here recently in kohls. Two black women cut in front of 3 people in line inlcuding my wife, and one of the other people said something. Long story short security was called in and the two women blamed it on all the f'in white people in line being racist, although my wife was the only white person in line and she had said nothing. The other people in front were hispanic and black.

I've been blamed for something similiar. Some guy called his girl a "whore" in a whisper, she said "what did you say?, did you call me a whore?" He blamed it on me. He was black, I don't have anything agaisnt black people but there's crappy black people just like there's crappy white people and that was a crappy black person.
