The 'protestors' are nothing but criminals the way they act on the high seas. They put themselves and the lives other in danger continually. Combined with the way they try to 'sabatage' the other ship is an act of violence which in turn makes these people more like terrorists that activists.

They are lucky to have only lost one boat.

If they are so passoniate about the whales, and not themselves, then they would find better means to protest this. Do I have the answers? Nope. But using their current tactics, I believe they deserve to have been fined, tickets, jailed or w/e. This is not how you act on the high seas.

Those crab boats all have catch quotas set by the government. The whalers do too I guess, but killing endangered species isn't a good thing.

The whalers do have their one boat running interference, quite effectively actually. Not sure who was ever found to be at blame for sinking the only cool thing on that show though. Probably both of them.

I watched a couple of episodes i was more of a comady then most of the shows on tv, their boats are not rated for any kind of ice and the "captain" has no respect for anyones life on his boat of others.

My thoughts exactly.

I love watching the show for the pure idiocy of it. But I can only watch it once in a while. Those morons are wasting all kinds of resources trying to stop whaling but all they ever do is sometimes delay the inevitable killing of the whales. Use the money and resources those idiots are wasting and put it towards other causes or political methods to stop whaling.

Now if they would replace Captain Fatass and his "crew" with Travis Pastrana and the Nitro Circus, that'd be fawking entertainment and we might actually see some results.

Yea Griz I was thinking the other day while watching the newest episode, about how much money they are spending.

I know they paid $3m for the "Bob Barker" which was supposed to be fast enough to keep up with the japs, but cannot.

The Ady Gil which they sunk was $1.5m

They burn shit tons of fuel

Helicopters, sat phones, electronics, ect.

Think of what they could do with they money...

I've always gotten nonsense for not worshiping the US flag, so from past experience I figured it's normal not use a foreign flag in the presence of the US flag. Or is it because avatars don't count? If so, my bad.

How does the US Flag have anything to do w/ this?

While I do not support whaling, it is at the moment "legal" do to a loophole in the 1986 international moratorium that allows lethal "scientific research."

Piracy and Terrorism on the high seas is illegal and a much more serious issue. What happens when these idiots decide to go after sport fisherman, or crabbers, or tuna fishing?
