Our local shop is hoping to get a class started for these. I hope it takes off and they release some old and new rally bodies down the road, would be sick.

I was thinking the same thing.. the fiesta and stang are what 90-100"WB cars? the slash is 8.25ish. I dont how the hell they get 1/16.

I agree. I have no interest in 1/16th. I think a 1/10 version would be cool.

When are they gonna get in on the crawler stuff? And I don't mean the summit. I love Traxxas, bulletproof rigs and affordable.

traxxas would have to do something completely new, you can't really rework any of their existing models to be a viable crawler. I don't see it

They're doing the same thing as the regular Summit and E/Revo, going by just looks alone all they did was put new wheels and tires on and a new body, and they're doing the exact same thing with the 1/16th. At least some other manufacturers change stuff up to try to sell new things.

HUH? You do know the regular summit has different diffs and trans right? How is that at all the same as what they did with the mini?

Read the highlighted part, I'm talking about the first things you see. I know there's more than that that has been changed between the two.

So tell me then, what has been changed on the 1/16th Revo to change it into the 1/16th Summit other than the body, wheels/tires and long travel rockers? There's no 2spd transmission or lockers so it's essentially a rebodied Mini E Revo...

Yeah, to a certain extent they did. Nothing wrong w/ it, Traxxas just seems to squeeze more releases from their designs than most.

I agree there is nothing wrong with it,its smart and keeps cost down.
Losi has seemed to get alot out of their mini chassis too,and they are very affordable.

I like all the new trucks and all, i really want a summit 1/16, but i hate how all the traxxas trucks use the same platforms over and over again, all of these but the stampede 4x4 (which uses slash 4x4 frame ofcourse) use the mini e-revo platform! its getting outta style, i might as well make a fully adjustable body mounts and buy a 1/16 summit, rally, and e-revo body and tires and just switch them out! if i want a summit just take off my mini e-revo tires, wing, and body and in 3 minutes im off to the rocks with a 1/16 summit!!

Here's something many people never consider regarding Traxxis' LONG lasting releases and rebodying/kitting with minimal changes. I bought a Traxxas Stampede brand new in '93/'94 I believe, and I can still go in most any hobby shop around and buy pretty much every replacement part for it. When it comes to beaters/bashers...they top my list because of that simple fact.
