Crawler Dad....

Is that the dreaded "JUMPING CHOLLA" I see in the background in you and the daughters pics???

I HATE THAT CRAP!!!

I was "intoduced" to that stuff back in 1988 at the Pinnacle Peak Enduro, I'll never forget that stuff as long as I live...Actually think I still have physical scars from that trip (I know there are some emotional ones as well ).

Why yes it is!!! its not so bad as long as you dont DISTURB it!!

when my daughter was 5 and on her way to being the AZ BMX champion..she encoutered a cactus that left her very scared of cactus..
She is over it now...she just grabs a handful of throttle and GETS IT!!

every once in a while we get stuck with the misurable CHOLLA..thats what a comb is for..

My 95 Honda XR650L

My 7 yr. old jumping his KLX110 over the table top.

My 10 yr. old jumping his 2009 KX65 over same tabletop.

Before and after shots of the KLX. My 7 yr. old cleared the tabletop and landed in the whoops at the bottom. Upon landing he did a rebound endo into the other whoops.

My 15 yr. old niece jumping her 06 Honda trx250ex.

Been riding since I was about, 7 years old. Started with a cr 50. Raced some, still got the same number I've always had, 422.
My Cr85 Expert.

And the most recent, 07 crf 250r. Has dual exhaust, un-breakable clutch and front break levers, hoses, I've got stickers now, just need some updated pics.

The old Katoom. Traded it for a sx and kept all my plastics and add-ons + cash. I am liking the sx better for now. Don't ride it as much since i got into crawlers.

We usually truck our bikes over there and turn it into a urban playground for the day. So many places to jump like that its crazy
this is the EXACT reason i do not have a drz..... i wouldn't have a license

here's some mor pics
this was a hare-scramble i raced on the 7th. it poured all day, some ruts were 10" over the pegs! fun times!!

my buddy billy watched me go down in the grass. 3rd gear whoops, cross rutted and he said i skipped 3 times a foot or better off the ground before i slid to a stop! rode it in and kept the bike running till i stood it up and my fingers slipped off the clutch... how it goes sometimes lol

Here is my moto history so far:

My old YZ426 with 450 looks:

When I first got it in 426 hurricane trim.

Then after the 450 ergonomics upgrade.

And riding.

My fiance's old CR85R with a XR100 motor bored and stroked to a 135cc beast.

My 1997 KLX300R with all Stroker upgrades, KX suspension, and frame up rebuild:

2002 KLX 300R with some upgrades and setup for supermoto:

2006 CRF450R with Ron Hamp Cams (RHC) head, piston, cams, right after I tacoed the ti pro ciruit exhaust.

My current rides:

Toying around on the quads:

2010 RZR with Walker Evans shocks on a +6 lt kit and some other stuff.

2004 CRF250x = PERFECT colorado bike.

I love those plastics, they are by far my favorite look. I'd love to convert mine to that, but I couldn't keep the blue frame, which means I'd have to strip the whole damn thing to paint the frame.

Haha thats exactly why I dumped them also, it just doesn't work on the blue frame at all. Nothing wrong with blue and white it looks sick when done right.

I like the blue frame with the Hurricane graphics. With some blue WORCS plates or maybe some blue in the seat cover, I think it could work.

The best looking bikes are always yellow.

I'd have to disagree but beauty is in the eye of the beholder right.
