I was just offering an alternative. Whatever doesnt sell at our yard sales (we have one a year) we give to a local thrift store. And we know this particular store only uses the money they make to pay the help and utilities, the rest they support the local shelter.

I think you are misusing the term "red tape" but whatever, it's the internet, shame on me for expecting general intelligence. This might help.

Sounds like you just need to take your shit out in the back yard, douse it in lighter fluid and toss a match on it. That way, no one will ever make even one red cent on your old junk, and you will be able to sleep happy knowing this fact.

Really. This board is full of whiners lately.

Thank you...X2

I give our unwanted clothing to the local animal shelter. Yes it's strange, but they find all kinds of uses for them there...

Yes, red tape. You are giving them your shit, and they are turning around & selling it. One more time for the kids in the back, you are GIVING them your shit and they are turning around & SELLING it.

9 times out of 10 churches end up selling stuff like that at a tag/yard sale. Ask me how I know....

Jon! (couldnt figure out how to turn an O upside down)

Those churches take your clothes and sell them so they can help local people pay medical bills, utility bills and to buy food. I have seen neighbors helped and our church loaned us money so we could get my daughters mouth fixed. I really don't understand the objection.

Didn't you read... IT'S THE CAPITALIST RED TAPE!!!!

I think his objection is to life in general. Some people can't even do a good thing without finding something to bitch about. Nothing to complain about? No problem... make something up using some words that do even make sense.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Check you local veterans office or VFW chapter. That is where I bring all of my stuff. There are many past and recent vets in need in this country which is a very sad thing.
