Default stop the virus from here

two days in a row I have gotten the pop up thing saying your computers infected with x amount of viruses click here to clear them. I fell for it the first time and ended starting my pc on a different day to get rid of it. What the feck, I was just in Bobs prey for my son forum and boom my computer is infected and pay now to clean your pc or else you cant use it without annoying popups. I love rcc been lurking for awhile and bought a star because I want to support it but two of these viruses in two days is pissing me off. any one else had this problem.

I've never have had any problem with this site either. I would suggest you run firefox with adblock and noscript so you can avoid malware in the future.

I actually got the same pop up around 3:30 this afternoon.

I closed it out quickly and ran a full system scan immediately thereafter...clean.

It has something to do with a Photobucket attached picture somewhere. Keep a tab on what thread your getting this from.

I wonder if its one of them ads at the bottom of the thread.

I also noticed that the new RCP Crawler banner doesn't click to anything at all.

just about every time I open RCC I get a pop-up with some kind of bs. I've been closing them out as soon as I see them starting to open a new tab. it's been kind of driving me nuts.

Win 7, IE8, and no popups.

I use Avast antivirus and Malwarebytes. I quit using AVG a while back.

It's not RCC. You have the infection from elsewhere. It may have recorded RCC as a trigger if you frequent the site.

I have multiple systems, the only one that gets pop ups from RCC, gets pop ups from any site it goes to, and I use that machine for virus and malware removal testing. It is in a constant state of infected.

My win 7, symantec, ie8 machine (work) never gets a pop up from anywhere

My win xp, avg, firefox machine (personal and behind the times) gets no pop ups from anywhere either.

My life is so exciting I live on RCC about 9 hours a day Monday to Friday, your pop ups are not coming from this site....
